Maura Jenceleski, Student Writer

My name is Maura Jenceleski, and I’m a junior here at GNA High School. I’ve lived in Nanticoke my whole life, so I’ve been enrolled here my whole life as well. I’m a member of the GNA girl’s volleyball team, National Honor Society, and Junior Leadership of Wilkes-Barre. Throughout middle school and high school, I’ve found myself to be drawn to the arts here at GNA. I’ve participated in chorus, band, and many high school theatre productions.

Some of my hobbies include reading, writing,  photography, and spending time in nature. I have dreams of traveling the world and discovering new opportunities anywhere I go. My dream destination is a place with white beaches and clear water.

I have a goal of going to Brandeis University, but will definitely explore my options as I progress. I aspire to go into the work field as a world journalist as I’d love to explore new places and continue my passion for writing. I hope to look back on myself and see that the words I’ve written have either touched someone’s heart or educated those around me.
