Congratulations to Zoe Gittens on being selected WVIA Artist of the week. The GNA Insider sat down with Zoey to ask her a few questions:

What are things that inspire you to do art?

I used to get bullied a lot for being different and having curly hair so I started drawing and It made me feel better, and one thing led to another. I had a creative mind and I express it through art.

What makes art enjoyable for you?

There are no rules in art for the one you can go as crazy as you want, and with the right music, it helps me stay concentrated and happy. Seeing how people react to my art makes me happy and really enjoy it.

Who inspires you to do art?

That would be Mr. fig  and Mrs. Scatena

What is your art style?

I don’t really know at the moment. I’m trying different things

How long have you’ve been into art?

Gosh! I’ve been doing art since before kindergarten. I didn’t really live with my mom, so I would hop to place to place. My grandmothers encouraged stuff like arts and crafts and cooking and sewing.
