Senior Superlatives: Most Artistic

Keisha Nieves and Kyle Stratton

What has inspired you to be an artist?

Keisha: I think is was my mother and my sister, seeing them draw all the time.

Kyle: Seeing art in person is what really made me take my work seriously. I felt like I could be in those museums one day and so I started practicing and improving my craft and my work.

Have you or would you ever consider selling your work?

Keisha: I have but I don’t do it constantly because I get attached to my pieces.

Kyle: I have sold several pieces of my work and I’m taking commission for new pieces. you can request my work in person or reach out to me at [email protected]

Do you have any other hobbies besides art?

Keisha: I write sometimes as well and binge watch movies on Netflix.

Kyle: I am a singer and a multi instrumentalist, along with my volunteer work in Nanticoke’s food pantry.

Do you plan on pursuing art in college? If so, what are your goals?

Keisha: As a hobby but not as a major because it’s honestly a hard field to make money.

Kyle: I do.  My goals are to continue to sell more art at a higher quality, make art public work projects and be able to support myself while having a fulfilling career.
