My name is Chriselda Sedorchuk, and I am currently a senior at GNA. I've been attending GNA my whole life. This is my first year in the journalism program. I currently work in an ice cream shop. I've participated in chorus throughout elementary and middle school, and I also played softball in middle school. I spend a lot of time taking photos to capture and remember the memories I make.In my free time, I like to read, watch movies, and play video games when I get the chance. My favorite movie series is The Hunger Games. My favorite music artists are Taylor Swift, Harry Styles, and Olivia Rodrigo. I am also a Marvel and DC fan. I would love to travel the world one day and photograph all the beautiful scenery. I would love to visit France or Italy. At this time, I am stuck on two very different future jobs. I would like to go into the trades for welding, but my other choice would be to go to college to get a bachelor's degree in criminal justice so I can become a detective. I hope I get the chance to live close to a beach one day.
My name is Hannah Fink, and I am a junior at GNA. I fearlessly fill the role of treasurer for Student Council and I currently work at an ice cream shop. I have five slightly different cameras that I use to do amateur photography. I often spend my time as a Swiftie, constantly making friendship bracelets. I don't consider myself to be very artsy but I’m trying to re-create Taylor Swift’s reputation outfit from her eras tour from scratch. In my free time, I like to read, bake, and hang out with friends. My current favorite song is “New Year’s Day” by Taylor Swift. I like to consider myself a Taylor Swift connoisseur and am currently saving up for my trip to Paris where I will be attending The Eras Tour. My guilty pleasure is eating peanut butter smidgens and chocolate wave cake. At this time, my path for the future is uncertain. While I intend to go to college, I have yet to decide on the field that interests me the most. I hope to enter a program that I'm passionate about. I hope that my choice will be fulfilling and lucrative. It would be nice to own a beach house one day.
My name is Xavier Skillens, I’m 17 years old and a senior here at GNA. I’ve been a student here at GNA all my life, having been in the district since preschool at KM Smith when that was still a school. I find the fact that the place was turned into apartments strange, I don’t even want to know what it’s like living in an old, defunct school. Tangent aside, I’ve been going here for a while, and as a senior, I’m happy to be getting out, not that the high school is a bad place to be, but I feel a change of scenery would help me a lot. As for what I do within the school, I’m part of the newspaper. I’m a member of the cross-country and track teams as well. Apart from those two things, I’m the Class Historian for the Student Council. I randomly help with things here and there, and have a bad track record when it comes to remembering where my lanyard is. Outside of school, I work at Stookey’s BBQ, I’m a member of St Faustina’s Youth Ministry, I build model kits, hike, and play video games. I enjoy doing these things, even if I’ve almost bitten it hiking more times than I’d like to admit. My aspirations after high school are anything but simple, as I’m fixing on attending the US Naval Academy. It’s been a dream of mine since I was a little boy, and after going there for a week in June, where every morning started off with an exercise, the day was filled to the brim with things to do, I attended classes that genuinely interested me and was surrounded by some of America’s finest people. I felt like I fit in there like a glove. If there is anything I’d recommend to anyone, it’s taking a tour of Annapolis. That place is absolutely beautiful, the architecture and history there are something to behold, and as a history nerd myself.
My name is McKayla Sims, and I'm a sophomore at the Greater Nanticoke Area High School. This is my first year at this school and it's also my first year in a journalism class. In the past years, I went to Wyoming Valley West. At Valley West, I was part of the chorus classes and the 2026 club.
Some of my hobbies include going on walks, watching movies with my little sister, and playing with my cat. I love reading and listening to podcasts and music on my phone - especially crime stories. I also like photography and writing, doing makeup, and living life to the fullest.
In the future, I see myself working in a good job and living in a big house with one cat. I see myself as a very successful woman who travels the world. I can't wait to see where the future takes me.
My name is Taylor Kreitzer, and I'm a sophomore at GNA High School. I've lived in Nanticoke my whole life since head-start. I moved schools at the end of second grade and went to Hanover for two and a half years. I then came back to Nanticoke in fourth grade, and have been here ever since. This is my first year in the journalism program, and I hope to keep doing it up until my senior year!
Some of my hobbies include drawing, painting, biking, boxing, and working out. Not many people know that I box, and I'm very passionate about it. I haven't always boxed; I started off with cheer for a while and continued up until I was twelve. I just started boxing last year in December and plan to continue it even when I'm older.
After high school, I plan to go to a good college and study forensic science. I have a few ideas for colleges I would want to go to, but I don't really know what field of forensic science I would like to work in though. This is the biggest goal I have set for myself and I can't wait to hopefully achieve it!
