Shaniyah Taylor, Student Writer
My name is Shaniyah Taylor, and I am a sophomore at GNA. I’ve lived in Brooklyn, New York my whole childhood, then moved to Nanticoke at the age of 12. Last year, before Covid, I was a part of the girl’s volleyball team. I’m proud to say during the pandemic, doing online school, I’ve managed to be on top of all my classes starting and ending the year off with all A’s. This year, I’ve decided to focus more on school and find new things that interest me.
This year, I’ve become more interested in cosmetology and fashion. I’m pushing myself to be one of the youngest hairdressers and makeup artists in my area. Fashion is a big part of me, not only because I like to embrace my sense of style, but I want to represent myself as an individual that has beauty and brains. I am a hard worker when it comes to school, and I can look appealing while being one.
I have a bright future ahead of me. I want to be able to go to the college of my dreams, so I can one day be the CEO of my many businesses. I hope to inspire many people to pursue their dreams, no matter how old they are.
