Trojanettes set to play for district title
The Trojanettes had an excellent season and are looking forward to playing at the Mohegan Sun Arena for a second year in a row.
When I sat down with Alyssa Lewis to ask her how she felt about playing in the Arena she stated, “I’m excited because it’s such a great experience and we are thrilled to be playing there again.”
Coach Yenji’s response was similar. “I think playing at such a big venue like the arena is a great experience for our girls. I think it validates our girls basketball program as being one of the best in District II, all of Luzerne and Lackawana County. I’m hoping we get a victory on Thursday and bring home the title just as we did last year.”
The Trojanettes will play Scranton Prep at The Mohegan Sun Arena at 6 o’clock on Thursday, March 1st.
