We have a champion

The college football season is officially over and we have crowned a new champion. The Clemson Tigers defeated the Alabama Crimson Tide in the National Championship game. Clemson beat Alabama by a score of 44-16.

Tiger’s quarterback Trevor Lawrence threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns, becoming the first freshman quarterback to win the championship game in 33 years. Running back, Travis Etienne accounted for three touchdowns and rushed for 86 yards. Justyn Ross had a big receiving game by having 153 yards and hauled in a 74 yard touchdown pass.

Tua Tagovailoa had his worst game as a college quarterback. He threw two interceptions and two touchdowns. The Tide averaged over 45 points per game this season, but only scored 16 against Clemson.

The Tigers became the first team to go 15-0 and win the national championship in the College Football Playoff era. They are the favorites to win the title again next season.
