The GNA Insider had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with GNA’s new student observer. Meet Ms. Fink!
Why did you decide to pursue becoming a teacher?
It seemed fun, and it also helps that you get summers and holidays off.
Was there a teacher who inspired you to become an educator?
A teacher who inspired me to become an educator would be Mr. Sean Carey. I really appreciate how amazing he is at teaching, and I hope to be just like him one day!
Why did you choose secondary education instead of elementary?
I think older students are funnier than elementary students.
Do you have a favorite part of observing the teachers here at GNA?
My favorite part about observing at GNA is the opportunity to learn in such a welcoming environment.
Where do you go to college, and why did you choose that school?
I go to school at Wilkes University. I chose this school because it was close and cheap.
Why did you choose to observe at GNA?
I chose to observe GNA because it was close and familiar to me.
What is something valuable that you have learned from observing?
Something valuable that I have learned is that there are a lot of background tasks that teachers must complete aside from teaching and lesson planning.
What is the most memorable thing you observed at the school?
The most memorable thing I have observed so far was overhearing a student tell another student that they looked like Mike Wazowski from Monsters Inc. Every time I think about it, I laugh.
