After conducting a poll with the question, “Do you think GNA is boring and/or lacks creativity?” 55 out of 77 anonymous student participants (71.54%) indicated that they feel GNA is boring and/or lacks creativity. By the end of this article, I hope to change those opinions or at least encourage a more positive perspective.
To demonstrate the creative talent within GNA, I have chosen four student artists, all of whom have agreed to share their work for this article. These students showcase that GNA is indeed a hub of creativity, expressing it through various forms of art. You will see colorless sketches, colored drawings, photographs, self-portraits, and allegorical sketches featured here.
After reflecting on the views of my fellow GNA students regarding our school’s creativity and engaging with the artists featured in this article, my own opinion of our school’s creative potential has transformed for the better.
Here is a brief overview of the talented artists at the school.
**Freshman, Holly Thomas:** A talented young artist who has graciously agreed to share one of her incredible drawings featuring a young skater girl.
**Sophomore, Ian Walsh:** His artistic talents extend beyond paper; he specializes in photography. He has agreed to showcase three of his photographs that beautifully capture the essence of our world in a single image.
**Junior, Kaylin Watkins:** Cheerleading is just one of her many talents, as demonstrated by her realistic sketches and allegorical portraits.
**Senior, Ethan Vetiaque:** In his final year of high school, he continues to impress us with his pastel drawings, a realistic portrait of a hand, and a hyper-realistic self-portrait.
