GNA offers trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands

Eric Jeffries, Student Writer

Around this time of the year at GNA, Mrs. Kelchner and Mrs. Marshall pass around information to their students about their annual field trip.

This is no normal excursion, however. This is a week long journey out of the United States to a foreign country that students in other local school districts could only dream about.

Next year’s trip is no exception because they will be flying off to South America where they will spend four days in Quito, Ecuador and three days in the Galapagos Islands.

The total cost of the educational experience is $3,799.00, which will cover all of your transportation and will include traveler assistance, medical insurance, and travel insurance. Also, students will receive three college credits while staying in a centrally located three and four star hotel.  Breakfast will be served daily and a three course dinner will follow.

Students will have  a full time, bilingual, WorldStrides Tour Director who is LEAP- trained in experiential education, local guides at sites and on city tours, and the LEAP! Educational Program.

This is sure to be an experience not soon forgotten. The memories made while on this trip that will last a lifetime.
