As Old As Time: A twisted tale

As Old as Time is a book based on Beauty and the Beast, but is a twisted tale. Liz Braswell as an author has done an amazing job on this book. This book goes back and forth between Belle and her mother, Rosalind. This has given the story a better understanding from both points of view.

The story is separated into three parts. The first part goes in between the story of Beauty and the Beast, and around the time Belle was born. The second part goes between the current time of the story and ends with Maurice, Belle’s father, seeing his wife. The third part of the story begins with the Beast helping Belle find out more about her family and ends with Belle and Beast spending the night with her parents before their journey.

This book has made me feel inspired to write again. My favorite part of the story is when the Beast shows Belle the library and she is so surprised on how many books were in the library. My least favorite part of the book was when the les charmantes started going around killing and harming the magical people. Overall the book was amazing, even though, there were some plot twists that I had not expected.

I would recommend this book to any Beauty and the Beast fan. Personally, I would recommend it to anyone who loves to read fictional books with some surprising twists. Making the decision to read this book was one of the best ones I’ve made.
