What is PFEW?
PFEW is an exciting summer education program where you’ll explore modern business and your future! By running your own company with students from all over the state, you’ll gain invaluable knowledge, relevant skills, powerful tools and discover how your talents translate into great careers. The great thing about PFEW is that it is different for everyone, but personal to you. We guarantee one thing- there will be a spark, a new thought, an innovative idea, or a new direction that will change your life in new ways. no matter what, you’ll be better prepared for your future and ready to take on the world!

All work and No play?
No way!! PFEW provides a chance like no other- to spend a week on a college campus. You’ll connect with students from all across Pennsylvania and create friendships that will last a lifetime. Leisurely activities include free time to hang out and relax, opportunities for recreation and a spectacular award ceremony to close your amazing week.
Can I bring a friend?
Yes! Your friend must complete an application and meet all of the eligibility criteria to be accepted to PFEW. If you wish to room with your friend, complete the Roommate Request section of the application. PFEW will make every effort to ensure you and your friend will be placed in the same room. NO co-ed rooms. During the week, however, we will place you and your friend in different companies to give you both an opportunity to meet other students.
Why attending PFEW is so important.
Business is in everything! You can’t avoid being involved in the business world. if you use a computer, drive a car, buy candy bars, participate in sports or have a doctor’s appointment, you are engaged in “business stuff”. You or your parents may own or work for various businesses. It’s part of life. In fact, business plays an important role in almost every facet of life. That’s why it’s so important that you understand how it works. We promise the PFEW is going to make your life easier because you’re going to be smarter about how real life works.
Who can attend?
All applications must:
- Be a current sophomore or junior
- Have the approval and support of a legal guardian
- Have the endorsement of a school official/educator
- Submit completed application and enrollment materials by that due date
How much does it cost?
Students submit a non-refundable $295 registration fee if accepted (do NOT submit fee with application). Financial aid and/or payment plans are available by contacting us when accepted. Cost is kept low thanks to PFEW’s generous donors who provide sponsorships valued at $1,800 for every student accepted to PFEW. PFEW secures these donors for you.
The registration fee combined with the sponsorships covers program materials, activities, meals, and lodging. Transportation to and from PFEW is your responsibility

What will be required if I’m accepted to PFEW?
Agree to immerse yourself in the PFEW experience and to be willing to learn and participate. You may also comply with all college and PFEW policies.
I’ve been accepted. What’s next?
After we review your application, you will be notified of your acceptance status by EMAIL. If accepted, you must complete the registration forms and return along with your non-refundable registration fee. Receipt of those forms and the fee confirms your attendance at PFEW. Additionally, you will receive program information about the week.
Cancellations
If for any reason you must cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. Once accepted, if you must cancel, your registration fee will NOT be refunded.
