Thanks to the efforts of Mr. Stetz, The GNA Insider has acquired a drone to show off the GNA campus and its various events in a new light.
If one had been at the Spirit Games, one would’ve gotten a first-hand experience with the little drone, which took many pictures of the various events and has been taking pictures of the campus ever since.
The drone in question, a DJI Mini 3 Pro is a tiny flying machine, but it has a lot of power packed within its small chassis. Weighing in at only 249 grams, or 8.8 ounces, it can make up to 22 miles an hour without wind resistance and has an interchangeable battery that lasts up to about 47 minutes in optimal conditions.
It’s the perfect drone for the task it’s been put to, and as the time spent with it increases, expect better pictures and videos to crop up here at The GNA Insider.
Here is an interview that was conducted with Mr. Stetz about the drone:
Why did you buy a drone?
My brother-in-law, Uncle Buck, a good ol’ boy, has the same drone. I saw how fun it was to use, and how good the pictures were, and then I talked to Zach Fox and Michael Julian about taking pictures of football events. I bounced the idea off of Mr. Carey and the rest is history.
What brought your attention to this specific drone?
Uncle Buck, from my experience with it with him, and from what I saw on the website, I knew it would be a great choice for a high-end drone.
What do you hope for this drone to achieve in the future?
The drone will offer a different way to look at GNA and inspire the people who use it to create creative videos/pictures of whatever events take place here on the campus or otherwise. I hope that the drone can be used at the end of the year to make collages of the senior class graduation and other such events. The effect of promoting the Nanticoke Area in general would also be amazing.
