What college did you go to? What did you major in?
“I went to Mansfield University in Mansfield PA, I started out as a music business major, but I ended up changing my major to music education”
What made you want to become a teacher?
“I had a lot of great experience with my music program when I was in school and I decided helping students have a good experience with their music programs would be a good thing to do.”
When did you first get into music?
“My mom made me take piano lessons when I was 5 years old, I have 3 older sisters and they all took piano lessons so that meant I had to. Looking back on it I wish I had stuck with it. In 3rd grade, I decided to play drums, and so I got my first drum pad, that’s when I started learning drums.”
Being that you are a music teacher, what is your favorite band
“Billy Joel is easily one of my favorite artists, I like a variety of things but he’s definitely my favorite.”
What are some of your favorite songs?
“Scenes from an Italian Restaurant, You’re My Home, Falling of the Rain, and Sleeping with the Television on”
What are some of your hobbies?
“Well, I enjoy musical things you know. I like boating, I do that in the summer with my family. Recently I have gotten into soccer a bit more. I play drums with the cheering section of the Philadelphia Union which is really nice.”
