GNA celebrates National Read Across America Week
GNA CAMPUS — The month of March has a plethora of fun and exciting events for schools to celebrate. GNA decided to brush up on their love for reading with National Read Across America Week. This national week, March 2 through March 6, is dedicated to the iconic stories read to children throughout their childhood.
GNA made sure to get the older generation of students involved by having the boys and girls basketball teams accompanied by the cheer team read to students in kindergarten through fifth grade. The main event was brought to the school by its very own National Honor Society (NHS), a group formed and dedicated to working for the improvement of its community. Selected students from NHS went through the range of young students reading many different books by infamous authors like Dr. Seuss and Eric Carle.
Surrounding the lives of these children with books is vital to their learning careers. Let’s work to keep reading in the loop!
