Black Panther spoiler-free review

Today I will be doing a spoiler-free review of Black Panther. All I am really going to talk about in this review is how amazing this movie is. The movie follows T’Challa (Black Panther) becoming the new king of a secret nation named Wakanda. Wakanda is hidden from the world because they have mountains full of vibranium, which holds large amounts of energy but is also used to create amazing inventions. However, Wakanda hides the vibranium because they know that it could be used in bad ways. Throughout the movie, T’Challa learns how hard it is to be a king of a nation and fight off enemies to keep that nation safe. Chadwick Boseman does an absolutely amazing job portraying T’Challa, as does everyone else portraying their characters. Some examples are Daniel Kaluuya who plays W’Kabi, T’Challa’s best friend. Also, Angela Bassett who plays Ramonda, T’Challa’s mother.

Then there’s the villain of the movie Killmonger, who is played by Micheal B. Jordan. Killmonger is easily one of the best villains Marvel has ever produced, as he feels like he actually has a purpose in the film. He has some great dialogue with T’Challa throughout the movie and just plays an exceptional role. Most of his motives are announced during the movie with some cool twists that tie back to the very beginning. Between the highly intense action scenes, absolutely perfect acting, beautiful cinematography, and outstanding characters this movie is near perfect in just those aspects alone. Also as I said earlier the dialogue between Killmonger and T’Challa is good enough to make up for any other questionable dialogue throughout the film.

I always rate the marvel movies and I rate them based on 10 things in the movie. Those things are: action, acting, cinematography, pacing, score, characters, ending, plot, protagonist, and antagonist. I rate all of those pieces 1-10 and then after that, I add up the scores of all 10 of them and get a total score out of 100. I gave this movie a 95/100 which ties for my highest rating given out so far with Captain America: Winter Soldier. The only reason this movie wasn’t given a 100 was because I think the pacing could’ve been just a bit better, along with the score being good but not perfect. However, besides very little things this movie was near perfect and definitely deserves the very high rating I gave it.
