Avengers: Age of Ultron

Today I will be doing a spoiler-free review of Avengers: Age of Ultron. I am a big fan of this movie and I would go as far as to say it’s just as good as the original Avengers movie. The whole Avengers team is still in full force with Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Hawkeye, and Black Widow. Throughout the movie, you’re introduced to two new mysterious siblings named Pietro and Wanda Maximoff. The movie opens with an amazing action scene and has some very good action throughout the entirety of the movie. The entire movie is based on a peacekeeping program that Tony Stark jump-started that went completely wrong introducing us to our villain whose name is Ultron.

Ultron is a technological terror hell-bent on human extinction and will attempt to do anything he can to reach that goal. Ultron has some amazing dialogue with another new character named Vision who is brought in to help stop Utron. I absolutely loved Ultron throughout the entire movie mostly because of him being unique and not falling into the cliche Marvel villain. There are also some interesting things going on between Hulk and Black Widow that I wasn’t the biggest fan of but there was a legitimate purpose to it.

I always rate the marvel movies and I rate them based on 10 things in the movie. Those things are: action, acting, cinematography, pacing, score, characters, ending, plot, protagonist, and antagonist. I rate all of those pieces 1-10 and then after that, I add up the scores of all 10 of them and get a total score out of 100. I gave this movie a 83/100 which is just slightly behind the original Avengers. As I said the action, characters, plot, and antagonist were all very good throughout the movie. However, besides Vision, some of the dialogue wasn’t the best as it felt very forced at times. The pacing also wasn’t the best as there were a few dull parts in the movie that I just don’t think needed to be there.
