GNA CAMPUS – This past Halloween season, Mr. Fig’s class was given the challenge of making their best-tasting pumpkin seeds.  The class was also involved in a pumpkin carving contest. Because of the project, students were allowed to display their creativity and show their Halloween spirit at the same time. 

Many of the students got creative and made some amazing flavors. The first-place winners for the pumpkin seed contest were: Ciara Oglesby, Kaylin Pacheco, and Jayden Caraballo with their “Caramel cinnamon Vanilla Bean” pumpkin seeds. There was a tie for second place with Mackenzie Pliska, Izabella Gronka, Ailey Clisham, and Nemecia Sosa with their “Oven Roasted Ranch” pumpkin seeds. Also, the other second-place winners were Kevin Himbo and Zachary Vasholz with their  ‘Savory Italian’ pumpkin seeds. Third place winners were Kyleigh Briggs and Ciarah Stolarik with their “Chicken/Italian” pumpkin seeds. There was a three-way tie for honorable mention (4th Place) Group 1:  Sydney Zubritski, Alex Ventura, and Jordyn Vida  with “Sweet Fall Cinnamon.” Group 2: Olivia Monska and Victoria Harris with “Buttery & Salty.” Group 3: Michelle Pastuizaca and Sadie Girau.

Mr. Figs’ class also was also involved in a pumpkin carving contest. They had multiple categories including scariest, most original, movie-themed, foodie, comedy cute funny, classic, and anime.

The scariest “Angler Fish”- Loni Rasmus, Joanna Meyers, Rain Dorateo, Kaitly Pegarella, and Jillian Dane.

The most original “The mask”- Savannah Wisneski, Cassidy Roke, Arianna Glushefski, Caitlyn Majiros, and Isabella Selner.

Foodie “Chik-fil-A”-Brooke Felici and Camryn Evans.

Movie Themed “Tangled”-Olivia M, Jeiomer Brandon, Kiana Yard, and Liskeilyn Cacere

Comedy Cute Funny “Elmo on Fire”-Ailey Clisham, Izabella Gronka, Mackenzie Pliska, and Nemecio Sosa.

Classic “Jack Skellington”- Mike Carchi, Dylan Williams, Camron Svetz, Ethan Spencer,and  Evan L.

Anime “Pokemon” -Jason Lauver, Aidan Jaskulski, Matt Gomelko, Kyler Bedner
