My name is Jazmine Trathen, and I’m a sophomore here at GNA. I’ve always been a student here. This school year I plan on joining the swimming team and also the softball team. I used to be in volleyball, but after the pandemic struck, I never really got back into it, even though I have much love for the sport.

In my spare time, I enjoy listening to music, painting, and also writing poetry. I have over 60 poems that I wrote. I have traveled to New Jersey and Florida and have also been to Minnesota. I do hope that I can go out of the United States, maybe explore Japan or Scotland.

After high school, I plan on joining the army. While in the army, I would like to be a  psychological operations specialist. After I’m done serving, I want to go to college for psychology.

This photo best fits the poem. I also wrote it around this time of day.

This picture I took long after I wrote this poem. I feel like it goes well with the topic of grief. Grief makes you appreciate the little things life gives you, and thats what this picture stands for.

This picture is from my walk to the bus. I thought this went with the tone of the poem.
