A triumphant return
The first AC/DC album in over six years
AC/DC is an Australian rock band formed in 1973 by brothers Malcolm and Angus Young. Since then the band has put out 17 studio albums, 4 live albums, 11 video albums, and 58 music videos.
They have the biggest selling rock album of all time, “Back in Black.” The album was released shortly after the death of former frontman Bon Scott, and the album went 2x Diamond in the United States (25x platinum).
But, for the past six years, the band has been quite dormant after their release and tour of “Rock or Bust.” There haven’t been many social media posts, any word on new music, or any tours.
That all changed on October 7th, 2020 when news of a new album, “Power Up,” would release November 13th.
The first song to be released off the album as a single was “Shot In The Dark.” The classic sound of AC/DC has returned in 2020. Finally, something good happened this year.
The album has been deemed the band’s best album since “Back in Black” from “Rolling Stone” and has been called “Thunderous” by “Billboard.”
