Nanticoke students place in the PMEA District 9 chorus festival
GNA CAMPUS- High School students saw success at the PMEA District 9 chorus festival.
From January 15-17, students from Lackawanna, Luzerne, Wayne, Susquehanna, and Wyoming counties came together to compete in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association District 9 chorus fest, hosted at Marywood University.
Districts come as a follow-up to the pre-auditions hosted at Tunkhannock Area High School on October 20, 2019, where students competed to qualify for the former. Depending on placement in districts, participants have the chance to advance to the Region IV chorus fest at Wyoming Seminary from February 26-28, 2020.
At GNA, the participants have had a successful run, with the following students qualifying for regionals and placing as follows:
- Kateri Ostraszewski (Alto) – 5th place
- Sean Wolfe (Bass One) – 6th place
- Gabe Jenceleski (Bass One) – 7th place
- Kyler Bednar (Bass One)– Regionals eligible
