Main Street finally being paved
After what felt like 100 years of having an unpaved, pot-hole filled Main St, Nanticoke Mayor Nicole Colatosti-Mackiewicz announced that the milling and paving would begin, April 25th, 2019.
In June of 2018, Dominos announced that they were going to be paving in some parts of Luzerne County but Nanticoke city council officials and residents couldn’t wait any longer, so they took things into their own hands and decided they would start paving one of the most renowned pot-hole filled streets in Nanticoke.
If you ask Nanticoke residents how long it has been since Main St. has been paved, they will probably say something along the lines of “too long” – and that’s exactly how it feels.
So, with the news of paving and milling, Nanticoke residents have been ecstatically looking forward to a paved Main St, which should be done very shortly.
