Students read in honor of National Poetry Month
April may bring some of our favorite things, such as warmer temperatures, but along with it comes National Poetry Month.
This month-long celebration began in 1996 after it was organized by the Academy of American poets to celebrate the variety and beauty of poetry. In honor of the holiday, Mrs. Jeffries’ AP Literature and Composition and English 9 classes will be reading new poems every day during the morning announcements!
Make sure to listen closely and admire the works of many different poets!
