Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week

Kyrstin Montgomery, Student Writer

Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW) is a one-of-a-kind summer program which offers incoming high school juniors and seniors a unique and challenging opportunity to experience firsthand the challenging eventfulness of running their own businesses. Participants develop their own strategies in marketing, design their own website, and make all decisions concerning the enterprise. Members turn their failing companies into financial successes.

On April 5th, a speaker from PFEW is due to come to the GNA High School to speak to students and encourage them to attend the program. PFEW graduates are offered up to $20,000 in scholarships!

The event takes place in two locations: Lycoming College and Penn State University. The 2019 dates for Lycoming College are:

  • July 7-14
  • July 14-20
  • July 28-3
  • August 4-10

The date for Penn State is August 4-10. Students are encouraged to participate in the program!
