2019 NCAA men’s bracket
The 2019 men’s college basketball bracket has been released. The 68 teams have been announced and seeded. Who will be the Cinderella? Who will be the national champion? The bracket is below and is separated by region.
Duke earned the number one overall seed and will face the winner of the North Dakota State vs North Carolina Central game. Michigan State got a number two seed and Belmont got the opportunity to play LSU, Since the Bruins beat Temple.
Each of these regions will have one team that will participate in the final four. Gonzaga is the favorite to make the final four trip but they might have to face the Syracuse Orange Men. Syracuse defeated the overall number one seed and future ACC champions, Duke at CameronĀ Indoor Stadium. Ja Morant will get to lead his Murray State Racers against Marcus Howard and his Marquette Golden Eagles. Two future NBA stars leading their college squads against each other. The Buffalo Bulls and the Texas Tech Red Raiders will also get their chance to move on. The Bulls will play Arizona State or St. John’s and Texas Tech will play upset-minded Northern Kentucky.
Now to the complete opposite side of the bracket, we have number one Virginia. The Cavaliers are looking for a better showing in the tournament than last year’s. They will face Gardner Webb, who is making their first appearance in the big dance in school history. The defending national champions are in this bracket. The Villanova Wildcats will face the west coast champions, the Saint Mary’s Gaels. With a lot of underdogs in this bracket, expect good games from teams like Oregon, Vermont, UC Irvine, and Old Dominion.
North Carolina is looking for a great tournament showing. They will face Iona in the first round. The bracket in the midwest is loaded with good teams including Kentucky, Kansas and the SEC champions Auburn. If an upset happens on this side of the bracket, madness should ensue and brackets will break.
