Kruczek gains acceptance into Division 1 hockey school

Trevor Kruczek, a sophomore at GNA, was recently accepted into a Division 1 hockey school, Mount Saint Charles Academy. Mount Saint Charles Academy is a private, Roman Catholic institution that was founded in 1942 . It has a rich tradition of academic and athletic excellence. They won multiple state championships and district titles in hockey.

Below is my interview with Trevor:

What is Mount St. Charles Hockey Academy?

Mount St. Charles Hockey Academy is a prep school in Rhode Island that has a tier 1 hockey program.

How did you find out about this school?

I found about this school through the coach when he saw me play.

Why did you apply to Mount St. Charles Hockey Academy?

I applied to Mount St. Charles because I would like to play hockey for a school where hockey is recognized.

Explain the process of how you gained acceptance into the academy?

I gained acceptance into the academy by going through a huge process. First by visiting the school. Then getting recommendation letters from Mr. Carey and Mrs. Iagnemma.

How did you feel when you got accepted into the academy?

When I got accepted into Mount St. Charles I was extremely happy and shocked that I would be moving away next year.

Usually you don’t move out until after senior year. How is it going to be with you leaving home at such a young age?

When I leave home I will feel a little home sick for a little while but after I settle in and will be living with other hockey players I think I will have a great time.

Where do you plan on going to college?

I plan on going to a college that has a D1 hockey program like Penn State University, University of Minnesota Duluth, or Northeastern University.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I would like to see myself still playing hockey but professionally.

What are some of your accomplishments as a hockey player?

Some accomplishments as a hockey player are finishing first in the nation last year, winning the Casey Classic, and getting accepted into Mount St. Charles.

Congratulations Trevor and best of luck to you in your future !!!!
