GNA earns spot on nationally ranked AP list
In the 2018-2019 school year, Greater Nanticoke Area respectfully earned its spot on the Advanced Placement (AP) list. Having a spot on the AP list means that the district have increased the number of AP offerings for students; it plans to add more in the 2019-2020 school year.
This year Nanticoke offers several AP courses—two sections of AP Literature and Composition, two sections of AP History, two sections of AP Calculus, and one section of AP Biology. A plan to add AP Probability and Statistics in the 2019-2020 school year is in place.
373 schools across the United States and Canada were selected to be on the National Advanced Placement District Honor Roll; the Greater Nanticoke Area and Hazleton Area school districts are the only two districts in Luzerne County which have earned a spot on the list.
