GNA French Honor Society thanks troops
Organized by French teacher Mrs. Harbaugh, Greater Nanticoke Area’s French Honor Society is giving thanks to our troops who have served our military in times of both conflict and peace. By volunteering during 5A and 5B lunches during the school week, participants will sign cards in order to express their gratitude. Donations are also being accepted to give back to injured and/or hospitalized Veterans.
All are encouraged to participate, regardless of their membership of the French Honor Society or current enrollment in Spanish. Several individuals will be walking from table to table in both cafeterias throughout the two lunch periods; students are encouraged to sign a card, write a message, and encourage others to follow suit in order to thank our generous troops in a heartfelt manner.
Following the conclusion of this project, the signed cards will be sent to hospitalized and injured troops, giving them a sign of encouragement and thankfulness, and letting them know that we care about them!
