What are you thankful for?

During the holidays, I think the most important thing is to be thankful. It is nice getting presents and all of that fun stuff, but being thankful for the things that you have and appreciating your family and friends is the most important thing to remember around the holidays.

I went around GNA and asked some of the students what they are thankful for and why. Here are some of their responses:

What are you thankful for and why?

“I am thankful for my son because he saved my life.” -Jasmine Peters

“I am thankful for my friends and family because they have always been there for me when I needed them and I know what it feels like to lose someone close to you.” -Skye Stuart

“I am thankful for my friends and mt family because they are always there for me.” -Madison Hoover

“I am thankful for my friends, my teachers, and our community here in Nanticoke. They are the heart of this town and what light up every day here at school. Without the support from the staff here at school the days would drag on much longer than they would have too.” -Garrett Dzugan

“I am thankful for my loving family and great support system I have. Through every little rough patch, they help me understand where I should be in that moment and help me recognize my future. I love my family dearly and wouldn’t trade them for the world.” -Ariyanna

“I am thankful for my will-power. Without it I’d probably never get out of bed or have motivation.” -Yamile Nieves

“I am thankful for everyone around me because I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for my friends and family.” -Olivia Williamson
