Trojanette volleyball is the first team to win a district championship three years in a row at Greater Nanticoke Area. The girls volleyball team made school history on October 31, 2018 when they beat Tunkhannock in the PIAA District 2 3A Championship. The girls didn’t win it easily; Tunkhannock came to play, and that is exactly what they did. Tunkhannock kept up with the Trojanettes and put up a fight.

Losing in the third set didn’t stop the Trojanettes, they kept on playing hard and smart, the same way their coaches taught them. Coach K kept chanting, “We don’t give up, we don’t give in and we never surrender,” and that just made the girls want to win even more. The match went into 4 sets, and the Trojanettes beat Tunkhannock 3-1 to win the PIAA District 2 3A championship.

Coach K and Coach Gavin never thought that they would break the school record, but they did and they’re extremely proud of their team and everything they’ve done these past 3 years. They’re looking forward to winning many more titles and accomplishing all their goals.
