Yanny or Laurel?
It’s the 2018 version of the dress, black and blue or gold and white, and now Yanny or Laurel? This is a very controversial post because one person can hear Laurel and another person can hear Yanny. According to Poppy Crum, a chief scientist at Dolby Laboratories said “Language, dialect, exposure to relevant sounds in someone’s environment, and even gender from the content of our own voices can alter how we experience the exact same information.” Another reason you might be hearing a different name than one your friends can depend on whether or not your ears hear high or low pitched noises as well. A person who hears more high/ mid high frequencies better will hear Yanny and a person who hears lower frequencies better will hear Laurel.
So, what do you hear?
