Winner of Ms. Hyder’s historical newspaper contest: The Salem Post
The Salem Post, written by a group of students in Ms. Hyder’s seventh period honors English class, was chosen by Mr. Carey, adviser of The GNA Insider, as the winning newspaper in the contest. The student writers were careful to ensure that their paper was uniform and logically organized. Each student researched events and people in Salem, 1692, in order to form historically based articles that truly reflected the tensions and emotions of the time.
The winning student authors include: Trahjan Krupinski, Dylan Sychowski, Cassie Tolodzieski, Abby Kotch, Brinley Sobeck, Ariyanna Hrivnak, Leah Kubasek, Carly Reakes, Dylan Wysocki, Cheyenne Musick, and Katie King. These students will be treated to a donut party to celebrate their winning. To read the student newspaper, click on The Salem Post.
