GNA CAMPUS – On October 10, our class turned journalism into a mini art studio. We took fun and colorful beads, string, and creativity to the next level, where students showed off their personality through their designs.
From bright rainbow patterns to simple, stylish color combos and super cute charms, journalism really enjoyed this project after a hard week at work! Some students even made friendship bracelets for each other, proving that a little string can go a long way to spreading kindness and love.
I asked two of my friends and fellow students what they enjoyed the most about our bracelet-making project, and this was their response:
“I really liked getting together with everybody. I feel like we bonded really well. It was just a good break from our hard work,” said Brooke Reed, who made many bracelets for herself, teachers, and her friend in this class.
“I enjoyed getting to have some time with my friends and making matching bracelets with Brooke. It was just a very nice day,” said Amaya Zegarski.
This project wasn’t just about art or getting out of work; we shared laughs, exchanged bracelets, and the day will be a memory we all will cherish forever! We hope to continue this bracelet-making project as a tradition in the future. After all, we can’t work hard without a little play too.
By the end of the class period, almost every journalism student had a cute, sparkly new bracelet and a big smile on their face. Even Mr. Carey and Ms. Z. got their own journalism-made bracelets, which made their day!
