Football.

At what age did you start playing sports?

7 years old.

What is your favorite part of playing sports at GNA?

Football is my favorite sport to play at GNA.

Why do you think athletics are an important part of high school?

You can stay in shape while in school.

Who has been the most influential in your success and why?

My coach – he has taught me a lot in the past couple of months.

Out of all the sports you play, which is your favorite?

Football is my favorite sport because I get to hit and lay people out.

Do you plan on plan on playing sports in college?

No, I plan to join the work field after high school and weld on the pipeline.

What do you see yourself doing in the next 5 years?

Welding.

My name is Bessy Aranda, and I am a Senior at Greater Nanticoke High School. I am from The Bronx, New York. I’ve been going to Greater Nanticoke High School since 2022. This is my first year as a student writer for The GNA Insider. I am extremely excited to begin my journey here and write for the school about sports, events, and much more. I am super passionate about hearing people’s stories, opinions, and so much more, and writing about them. I am also a member of the GNA Varsity Cheer team and the Varsity Softball team. I spend my free time cooking and listening to music. After high school, I plan to attend BYU in Provo, Utah. I see myself becoming an Immigration Lawyer in the future.
