Cloudtail is a stubborn white tom with blue eyes who was first introduced in Fire and Ice. Cloudtail recently got his graphic novel design for the new graphic novels being made by Natalie Riess and Sara Goetter. His graphic novel design is so ADORABLE. He looks like a walking fluffy white cloud, which is most likely what the writers were going for when they were making the concept art.
His facial expressions are also adorable. His eyes are wide and adorable while he’s walking with flowers in his mouth. His kit expressions are just so kitten-like that I’m blown away. He looked absolutely cute when he was crying; those deathberries almost killed him. When he’s an apprentice, he looks much more confident than he did as a kit, which is the way he should look since he’s stubborn and always has a snarky remark.
I also love the fact that Cloudtail has two eyelashes below his eyes. I think this makes him look more like a pampered kittypet rather than a wild cat. The writers might’ve given him the eyelashes for that reason, but I’m not sure. I like to think of it that way. You can also tell how FLUFFY that cat is, because they did an excellent job of showing that part of his appearance. His sky blue eyes are perfect, just like how the sky looks when there are clouds.
The writers did a brilliant job on Cloudtail’s design, as well as other designs in the graphic novel adaptation. I love this series, and I can’t wait to see what they do with Squirrelflight and Leafpool’s designs in the next arc, if they ever do The New Prophecy as a graphic novel adaptation.
