German vs. Greek Spring goddesses.
Ostara is the German goddess of Spring and Dawn. Pagan Anglo-Saxons held feasts in her honor during the Spring Equinox. The month of April or Ēosturmōnaþ is named after her German named Eostre. It can also be called Ôstarmânoth.
Persephone is the Greek goddess of the dead, grain, and Spring. She is the queen of the Underworld and Hades’ wife. Persephone and her mother, Demeter, were worshiped through festivals, dances, and rituals. They were usually held during autumn under full moons.
Both goddesses have origins in agriculture. Both Pagans and Greeks worshipped the goddesses in hopes of having plentiful harvests.
