Most people should know that dogs can’t have too much chocolate, or else they’ll get sick. But what can you give your dog for Valentine’s Day if you want to give them a treat?
Ice cream
Dogs can’t have chocolate, but that doesn’t mean they can’t have some plain vanilla ice cream with a bone on top of it. You can even put sprinkles on it if you wish but don’t make this a regular diet for them. Your dog will love eating up all the ice cream and getting it all over your floor after they’re finished.
Valentine’s Day treats
Dogs will love you when you bring home a whole bag of treats! If you want to give them something for Valentine’s, then many dog bakeries make heart-shaped cookies, brownies, and treats. There are a variety of different choices to pick from, and your dog will love whatever you come home with. You might be worried that these will make your dog sick, but the bakers make sure that it’s perfectly safe for your dog to consume.
A bone
Most dogs love bones, so why not give them a bone? If you want, you can put a red or pink bow on the bone to make it look like a Valentine’s Day gift and give it to your dog. Be sure to remove the bow before you hand your dog a bone!
Toys
If you don’t want to give your dog food, then you can easily get them a Valentine’s toy. Look for hearts, arrows, and Cupid mainly. Hopefully, if your dog loves toys, they will love your gift and start playing with it.
