As life gets stressful and the world is seeming to stop at the very thought of doing something uncomfortable, hopefully these practices can help slow down and ease a troubled mind.
- Clean your room, not just a light dusting but force yourself to make your bed, do laundry, organize, and clean out unwanted or unimportant things that serve you no purpose.
- Practice using your five senses. When upset or overwhelmed, find 5 things you see, 4 you feel, 3 you hear, 2 you smell, and 1 you taste.
- Take an everything shower, use the fancy soaps and give yourself the luxury of pampering.
- Get off you phone.
- Take a walk or just sit outside.
- Do a past time you like or try a new one.
- Socialize and try and avoid isolation.
- Read.
- Practice gratitude.
- Make your self your favorite meal.
