Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is currently the funniest movie in the world. It’s not clear if the movie beat Disney’s Mufasa at the box office yet since there are many claims of Mufasa winning and others of Sonic the Hedgehog 3 winning. This is my full review of the movie.
My overall rating of the movie is 8/10.
Shadow’s voice was amazing. Keanu Reeves voice acted Shadow perfectly. It’s very ironic that in the first movie, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic says that Keanu is a national treasure and here Keanu is— voice acting Shadow.
Jim Carey coming back made me happy. I figured he was going to retire after Sonic the Hedgehog 2 because he was supposed to die at the end, but he came back for the third movie. I don’t expect to see him again, though, because he was killed yet again in this movie.
I didn’t necessarily like that Amy Rose appeared at the end of the movie, signaling a fourth one to come, but others might be. I was excited about Metal Sonic though, and that Shadow was still alive.
There were many deaths. I think two of the deaths were planned because the actors would be retiring. Tom Butler was the character Commander Walters and the character died about fifteen minutes into the movie. Jim Carey was Doctor Eggman and the character died at the end of the movie. There was also Maria Robotnik, who was supposed to die because of Shadow’s lore.
I missed the character Rachel. She only appeared when her sister, Maddie, shape-shifted into her with Tails’ tech, but she didn’t appear anywhere else. She was the funniest part in the first and second movies because of her personality, but she was less funny this time because it wasn’t really her.
I do recommend this movie to anyone who is into Sonic the Hedgehog and people who like action movies because this movie has a lot of action and a lot of hilarious moments.
