We all want one day or night to stay in, relax, and focus on self-care. Today, I will list the best excuses to stay in from going out when you are not in the mood to do anything.
You can always use the classic ¨I have a headache¨ or ¨I think I’m coming down with something,¨ but people never seem to believe you when you have these excuses. So, try saying something like ¨I have a doctor’s appointment, and I can’t reschedule because of a bigger concern¨ and ¨I have been around somebody sick. I need to be cautious of who I am around.¨ How can anyone say no to those excuses? These are best to use during allergy season.
Everybody has their own responsibilities, especially during the holidays that are coming up. You can say ¨Some of my family members are out for the holiday so I need to stay at their house to watch their pets¨ or keep it simple for someone who isn’t as nosey, ¨I have a deadline on a project for school and I really need to focus on it” and ¨It is taking longer than expected to clean and do my chores so I don´t think I will be able to make it. The responsibility route is the safer one if you don’t have to see the person the next day.
We all blame traffic, our cars breaking down, and especially the weather since it’s the holiday season. But the best thing to do is just be honest and tell somebody you need a day to recharge and release your stress. Everybody should be understanding of someone needing a day to themselves.
