Many cities across the globe vary in their Christmas traditions. They consistently offer unique traditions, events, and decor. I am listing some famous cities known for their festive demeanor for the holidays.
New York City, USA: The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree, ice skating, and lots of holiday displays set the perfect mood for everyone’s favorite holiday. Times Square is covered in decorations along with Central Park. Other holiday markets like Bryant Park´s Winter Village, offer holiday shopping and sweet treats.
London, UK: The lighting of Oxford Street, the Hyde Park Winter Wonderland, and Christmas at Kew Gardens are all iconic landmarks in London for the holiday. There is an enormous Christmas tree display at Trafalgar Square with lots of Christmas caroling. London would be an awesome place to visit one year for a holiday vacation.
Paris, France: The atmosphere is beautiful in Paris as the Champs- Eĺysees lights up with thousands of lights and other stunning window displays with giant trees inside. Outdoor Christmas markets like La Defense offer mulled wine and handcrafted gifts. Paris is already a beautiful place to go to but with the holiday atmosphere, it takes the cake on my dream holiday vacation.
Sydney, Australia: They have a summer-style Christmas with beach parties and events at the beach. The lights displayed at Mary´s Cathedral are also very popular. They have carols and Christmas picnics outside to embrace the warm weather. A warm Christmas is definitely something I would like to experience.
Tokyo, Japan: In Tokyo Disneyland, there is a huge Christmas-themed parade along with plenty of decorations. One thing I would interesting is that in Japan they have KFC for Christmas dinner. That is a cool fun fact about their Christmas traditions.
Based on all the cool and fun traditions other countries have, I would love to travel for the holidays. Having a warm Christmas on the beach or having a picnic to celebrate sounds super fun. Having KFC for Christmas dinner is also something I would love to experience.
