The Jersey Shore cast is well known for their hair gel, bronze tan, and Italian ancestry. The cast includes Paul DelVecchio Jr. as “DJ Pauly D,” Mike Sorrentino as “The Situation,” Jenni Farley as “JWoww,” Vinny Quadagnino as “Vinny,” Ronnie Ortiz-Margo as “Ronnie,” Sammi Giancola as “Sammi Sweetheart,” and the fan-favorite… Nicole Polizzi as “Snooki.”
When this Jersey Shore cast was released in 2009, people went crazy, stereotyping New Jersey. The boys on the show were made fun of for their fake tans and Ed Hardy gear, they were called the guidos. Guidos are basically what the boys in the cast are stereotyped as, an Italian-American man from Jersey.
Snooki is the show’s star, so let’s talk about how Jersey Shore made her famous.
MTV requested to have Snooki at the New Year’s Eve Ball at Times Square in 2011. She was in fact in a New Year’s Eve ball, but not the Times Square ball. She ended up doing the ball drop but in seaside heights. Another Snooki highlight was the purse incident. A rumor existed that Louis Vuitton sent Snooki Gucci bags to make Gucci look tacky and trashy. Years later Snooki debunked this rumor saying none of this is true, absolutely iconic.
Mike Sorrentino “The Situation” is a prominent personality on the show and was very problematic – if it weren’t for him we wouldn’t have most of the iconic dramas we had. Even though he has had a dramatic past he has gotten happily married with three kids and became sober. Recently, Mike has come out to say he is willing to plan “door-to-door” interventions. He also states that he plans to open his own mental health and addiction treatment centers as well. Mike has improved himself well, and the Jersey Shore fans are all here for it.
The most famous couple on the show, Ronnie and Sammi, have the most chaotic past in reality TV show history. With their relationship starting in the first season in 2009, they went through very rough patches together throughout their whole relationship. This controversial relationship finally ended in 2014, when they finally went about their different ways. In the present on the Jersey Shore: Family Vacation spin-off, Sammi declined to be on the show for her mental health while Ronnie was still on the show. In season 6 of Family Vacation, she decided to return to the Jersey Shore Franchise as she healed and is in a healthy relationship and overall just in a better place in life.
Overall, everybody on the show has greatly improved and now has families. Vinny on the other hand, is still single but living his best life. Snooki now has her own clothing brand. Jenni is happily married with kids. Like Mike, DJ Pauly D now does concerts and is in a happy relationship, and Sammi found the relationship she deserves.
All of the cast has grown out of their 20s and matured, they are all living their best lives now.
