March is American Red Cross Month. In honor of this month, here are some places to volunteer around the community.
1. American Red Cross: Blood Donor Ambassador- As an ambassador you will engage donors by greeting, registering, answering questions, providing information, and supporting them through the recovery process.
2. American Red Cross: Blood Transportation Specialist- As a specialist you will be the critical link between blood donors and blood recipients by delivering blood, platelets or other blood products to a hospital.
3. Girl/Boy Scouts of America: (Boy- picking up litter, yard work for older people in need, and they also plant trees.) (Girl- Field trips, skill- building sports clinics, and environmental stewardships.)
4. Local Church/Schools: Help children with tasks and care for their well being.
5. Habitat For Humanity: meet and work with a diverse group of people, improve the lives of others, and better understand the needs of others.
Volunteering helps everyone involved including you!
