While many people spend all year waiting for the holiday season to arrive for parties, gatherings, and gifts, many people also spend all year waiting for this time of the year to see what their yearly Spotify Wrapped will be. This year every user’s Spotify Wrapped was released on November 29th. With that being said, let’s talk about this year’s Spotify stats.
To no surprise at all, this year’s top artist on Spotify was Taylor Swift, with over 26.1 billion streams and a continuous stream of support from her fans, it doesn’t seem that any of those numbers would be going down any time soon. She also placed twice in the top ten albums of this year with her album Midnights being the #2 album of the year and her album Lover being the 7th.
The other top artists of 2023 went to Bad Bunny, who was in 2nd place, The Weekend, 3rd place, Drake, 4th place, and Peso Pluma, who was the 5th most streamed artist this year.
The top song of this year globally was Flowers, by Miley Cyrus, with 1.6 billion streams. The 2nd song was Kill Bill by SZA, 3rd place went to As It Was by Harry Styles, the 4th song of the year was Seven by Jung Kook and featured Latto, with the 5th place going to Ella Baila Sola, by Peso Pluma and Eslabon Armado.
Among the top 5 albums streamed globally on Spotify this year, the #1 album of the year went to Un Verano Sin, by Bad Bunny, it had more than 4.5 billion streams. As mentioned previously, the 2nd album of the year was Taylor Swift’s Midnights. The 3rd album was SOS by SZA, the 4th was Starboy by The Weekend, and the 5th was Mañana Será Bonito, by Karol G.
