What is PFEW?
- It is a summer education program where you will explore modern business and your future. By running your own company with students all over the state.
What will you do at PFEW?
- Form an executive management team with your peers and run your own imaginary company.
- Compete against other student companies throughout the week
- Determine selling prices, marketing costs, production budgets, research and development, banking, and other decisions to help your company succeed.
- Develop a complete marketing and advertising campaign for your company
- Hear and meet world-class speakers who will share their experiences on a wide variety of topics.
- Live on a college campus and get a taste of college life
- Make friends
- Have fun
- Explore career fields and open doors to your future
- Spend a week with some of Pennsylvania’s top executives who will inspire and motivate you
How do you apply?
- Complete an online application at www.pfew.org/student-application
- Once your application has been submitted, you may “check your status” from our homepage under PFEW header.
Who can attend?
- You must be a current sophomore or junior
- Have approval and support of legal guardian
- Have the endorsement of a school official/educator
- Submit a completed application and enrolment materials by the due date
When are the dates?
- The 2023 dates are
Week 1- July 2nd-7th
Week 2- July 9th-14th
Week 3- July 23rd-28th
Week 4-July 30th-August 4th
How much does it cost?
–Students submit a non-refundable $295 registration fee and after being accepted costs are kept low thanks to PFEW’s generous donors who provide sponsorships valued at $1,800 for every student accepted.
What do you do after being accepted?
–After submitting your application, you will be notified by email if you have been accepted or not. If accepted, you must complete the registration forms and return them along with the registration fee.
