Captain America: The Winter Soldier

Today I will be doing a spoiler-free review of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The only thing I can say about this movie is wow. This is easily one of the best movies Marvel has ever created and might be top 3. Everything in the movie was perfectly done. The action was absolutely amazing with some of the most intense scenes in the entire franchise with multiple different characters like Captain America, the newly introduced Falcon, Black Widow, and Nick Fury. The cast was absolutely loaded for this movie and really helped boost Nick Fury’s character and introduce a very good side character in Sam Wilson/Falcon. The cinematography is also beautifully done throughout most of the action scenes and the entire movie. It also has some amazing acting in some heartfelt scenes with Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff instead of their superhero selves as Captain America and Black Widow.

The villain is the Winter Soldier who is basically a ghost because he gets hired to take people out but does it quickly and no one has ever seen him, basically being a myth. The Winter Soldier is an absolutely amazing antagonist and has some great motives that are revealed throughout the movie and he is a very intriguing character. He also has a robotic arm that causes a lot of problems for our protagonists. Just the entire plot for the movie is very well written and perfectly executed. The ending also wraps up the entire movie pretty well but also does a good job of setting up more stories for these characters in the future.

I always rate the marvel movies and I rate them based on 10 things in the movie. Those things are: action, acting, cinematography, pacing, score, characters, ending, plot, protagonist, and antagonist. I rate all of those pieces 1-10 and then after that, I add up the scores of all 10 of them and get a total score out of 100. I gave this movie an insanely high 95/100 and as I said in this entire review, almost everything in this movie is perfectly done and if it’s not, it’s at the minimum very good. Also, something I haven’t even mentioned yet is the incredible score throughout the entire movie with some very good songs.
