MLB Lockout: will the 2022 season start on time?
MLB – Will we have a 2022 baseball season? That’s the question on most baseball fans’ minds right now. The reason this all happened is due to the CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) expiring back on December 1 of 2021.
Shortly after the CBA had expired, the MLB and the owners of all 30 teams were very fast to lock out their own players from using their teams’ facilities. This means for the players that are injured can only rehab at home or someplace else other than the team facility.
Now we’ve reached a point where we only have a few weeks to reach a new deal between the Baseball Players Association and the MLB. On Saturday, February 12, 2022, the MLB once again failed to impress the MLBPA with their latest offer after months of constant back and forth from both sides.
As the start of the season hangs in the balance, still, the question remains – will we have a 2022 MLB season?
