Under the lights
Greater Nanticoke Area unveiled a new state of the art lighting system at the football game on August 25, 2017. This was done on Alumni Night where those who played football for Nanticoke between 1967-2017 were admitted free.
The LED system was a project through Musco Lighting. Dr. Grevera stated, in an interview with The Citizens’ Voice, that Musco Lighting has provided sports stadium lighting at Clemson University, Auburn University, the Mercedes- Benz Superdome in New Orleans, Notre Dame Stadium, Petco Park in San Diego and Ford Field in Detroit.
According to muscolighting.com, Musco Lighting was founded by Joe P. Crookham and Myron Gordon in 1976 and is currently headquartered in Oskaloosa, LA. They have pioneered systems using LED technologies that have made dramatic improvements in energy efficiency and provided affordable ways to control spill light and glare.
