Foreign language week at GNA
Foreign language week is a week of learning, a week of communication and a week of relations. This week at GNA, students from both the French and Spanish clubs unite to celebrate the language they have been studying for months- even years.
Foreign language week runs from May 7th through May 10th. This year, Leah Kubasek created T-Shirts with a design of her very own. These were available for purchase to students, friends, and family in mint green and Carolina blue. The theme is “Languages: Your Key to Global Understanding.”
Here is the schedule for the week:
Monday, May 7th- Children’s song day. Students will learn authentic French and Spanish songs in class.
Tuesday, May 8th- French Film Day. Students will be watching a French film in the auditorium periods 1-3. Students who purchased a t-shirt will wear it to school.
Wednesday, May 8th– Spanish Film Day. Students will be watching a Spanish film in the auditorium periods 1-3.
Thursday, May 9th- International Food Day. Students will sample culinary treats from France and Mexico in class. A food banquet will be held in the cafeteria from 5:00pm- 8:00pm. Your ticket to enter is any covered dish.
