President – Lucas Stachowiak 

Why did you decide to run for class office? 

– I like to help my class whenever I can, and I figured running for class office would be the best way to do so. Plus, I like fixing problems.

What qualities make a good leader? 

– In my opinion, a good leader should be calm, determined, and open-minded. Most importantly, a leader should be tough and able to roll with the punches.

Why is serving important to you? 

– Serving is important because I feel like I should help my classmates in some way. I have to keep myself busy.

What are your responsibilities as class officer? 

– There are a lot of different things I take part in. I act as a liaison between class body and faculty. I help organize events for students, and poll the school for things like class song and quote.

How do you balance your schoolwork and hobbies with your officer duties? 

– I try to stay diligent and pay attention to deadlines. It’s not easy, but I try my best. I make sure work doesn’t get into my hobbies, it’s important to have time to yourself.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in? 

– I do a lot. I play football and baseball, so I spend a lot of time outdoors. I’m also a part of the National Honor Society.

Shaylee Heffron

Why did you decide to run for class office? 

–  I wanted to lead my class and make a change for the better. I love to help people and help benefit everyone.

What qualities make a good leader? 

– I’m very honest, hard-working, a good listener, and always fair to everyone.

Why is serving important to you? 

– Serving is important to me because I love to be able to have the opportunity to improve and help our class.

What are your responsibilities as a class officer? 

– To help organize class fundraisers and to plan activities to make our senior year the best it could be.

How do you balance your schoolwork and hobbies with your officer duties? 

– I make sure to have a schedule for myself and try to take care of all office duties during school so I have time for my schoolwork and hobbies after school.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in? 

– Softball, field hockey, basketball, and National Honor Society.

Jordan Lamb

Secretary – Jordan Lamb 

Why did you decide to run for office? 

– I ran for office because I wanted to be able to positively impact the school community.

What qualities make a good leader? 

– A good leader listens to those that they lead, and makes decisions based on the common good.

Why is serving important to you? 

– Serving is important to me because I like having a positive influence in people’s lives. Making a difference, even on a small scale, is important to me.

What are your responsibilities as class officer? 

– As class secretary, I’m responsible for communicating between the student body and class office and bringing the opinions of the students into meetings.

How do you balance your schoolwork and hobbies with your officer duties? 

– It’s definitely a lot, but it’s all about balance. I had to find a schedule that worked for me and allowed me to keep everything in order.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in? 

I’m in the National Honor Society and World Language Honor Society, chorus, and Upward Bound.

Cassandra Cabonilas

Treasurer – Cassandra Cabonilas

Why did you decide to run for class office?  

– I originally did not run for class office; however, due to the lack of a candidate, my teachers motivated me and helped me decide to step up to the position of treasurer.

What qualities make a good leader? 

– I believe that a deep sense of responsibility and dedication make a great leader! These qualities, to me, show that one is sensible in their goals and has the conviction to follow through.

Why is serving important to you? 

– Serving is important to me as I can act as a bridge for my classmates to interact more closely to the office advisors and teachers.

What are your responsibilities as a class officer? 

– As class treasurer, my responsibilities center around keeping track of financial records and account money of my class.

How do you balance your schoolwork and hobbies with your officer duties? 

– It’s definitely not easy! I generally try to get the majority of my schoolwork completed during study halls, and the rest that I don’t get to, I finish at home. I tend to have 2-5 hours out of school to get this done, and the rest of my time is spent working and participating in sports.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in? 

– I’m part of the Trojanette Volleyball team and a member of the Trohawk Swim team.
